Talking flight monitor has recently begun a transition to a paid model with subscriptions, the model having changed significantly from the initial proposals. Talking flight monitor issued a blog post stating that the transition would take “weeks or months” and that builds of tfm would remain up on the site until that point for free download. This was not the case, and they were pulled 48 hours later. Since these builds were made open source, and tfm has yet to transition to a paid model, we believe the existing builds should remain available. It is the case that value in a project comes from the enhancement of said project, and that is why the community will purchase tfm, not because they are forced into purchasing something they already have downloaded without significant alterations. Once tfm transitions to a paid subscription model we will consider taking these builds down out of respect for their work. It is clear however that in the meantime, new members of the community will have no option but to attempt to apply for a private beta, to which their admission is by no means guaranteed. Hence, we make these versions available, versions that have never been made paid products as of now, and have operated as open source and freely available works as of now. Whilst we have the upmost respect for the tfm team, this has partly been necessitated due to a lack of clear communication, in that the subscription model, the communication platforms and most importantly the timeline of transition has rapidly shifted over several days.

This program requires a key to unlock it once downloaded. 840 is an older version but has several benefits. It does not have the moving map traffic display which helps with lag. It allows for the external MSFS application to be used with p3d which also makes the use of the application much faster. It is the version that has been tested with the free aircraft that we recommend also. Download

This is the older version of first officer which requires a key once downloaded. This older version whilst retaining functionality does allow for the use of the read only box to view what tasks the first officer is performing at the time. It also allows for the use of the no smoking signs to mute the mic which can be assigned to a joystick button within the simulator if you so wish. Download

This program requires a paid key once downloaded. Download

This program allows for the runway awareness system within p3d, fsx and possibly fs2020 although not tested. You need to unzip to a location of choice and place the r4.csv file into the route of the folder which is produced after running makerunways . You then run the program when the sim is running to receive audable callouts. The ini also allowes for adjustment. Download
